DESCRIPTION:Kenya’s economy demonstrated significant resilience to the COVID-19 shock in 2021 making a significant rebound in the second and third quarters of 2021 driven by return of activity in certain sectors such as education and the lifting of COVID restrictions. The World Bank also forecasts robust overall economic performance in 2022-23 at a projected 4.9% growth\, similar to the pre-pandemic pace of 5% average annual growth from 2010 to 2019.
