AIG Kenya Insurance in partnership        to provide Tourism Cover

AIG Kenya Insurance Company, a platinum member of AmCham Kenya, recently hit the news having entered into a partnership with Amref Flying Doctors to provide travel insurance cover for visitors to Kenya on tourism related activities.

In the backdrop of low tourist numbers, the Tourism industry has reportedly welcomed the travel insurance policy for tourists. The cover will reportedly include terrorism exposures to tourists visiting Kenya.

“We are counting on players within the tourism industry to market the product to the countries issuing the advisories through the various travel forums. There are tourists who are willing to come and ignore the advisories if given the right information,” AIG Kenya Insurance Chief Executive Japh Olende reportedly said.
